Power Stroke Diesel 200 at O'Reilly Raceway Park Practice Report

The Ergon Racing team was working through a tight condition on the #15 truck during the first practice session for tonight’s Power Stroke Diesel 200 at O’Reilly Raceway Park. Marc Mitchell’s fastest lap around the .686-mile oval was 23.594 seconds (104.671 mph). Mitchell’s time was the fifth fastest among the Raybestos rookie class, and .330 seconds off Johnny Benson's, who ran the fastest lap in practice.“We were tight from the center off,” said Mitchell about his truck’s handling. “The Ergon Tundra had a push late in the turns. The other trucks were getting back to the throttle sooner than me, which had them pulling me a truck length or two when we exited the turns. It won’t take much, hopefully just an adjustment or so, and we’ll be up there with the leaders.”
Final practice begins at 11:45 EST. Qualifying follows at 4:30, with the race beginning at 8:00. Coverage can be seen on SPEED TV.
