Power Stroke Diesel 200 at ORP Final Practice Report

Marc Mitchell concluded final practice for the Power Stroke Diesel 200 in 24th-place. The Ergon Tundra’s fastest lap around the .686 mile oval was 23.420 seconds, .383 seconds slower than Colin Braun, who turned the fastest lap of practice. Mitchell was the fourth fastest among the Raybestos rookie contenders. The Ergon Racing team did not make a lap in qualifying trim, which prevented them from putting a faster lap on the board.“We’ve improved a lot since the first practice session,” said Mitchell. “We had on old tires for most of practice, so our lap times didn’t get much faster, but we were handling really well. We were really tight at the beginning of practice, but it got better and better throughout the day. I think we’ll be pretty good for tonight.”
Qualifying starts at 4:30 EST, with the green flag starting the event at 8:00 tonight. SPEED TV will cover the race.
