OVERVIEW

Marc Mitchell will start the Power Stroke Diesel 200 in 19th-place among the 34 car field. Mitchell’s lap of 23.110 seconds around the .686 mile oval secured his place on the inside of row 10. Mitchell is third among the Raybestos rookies in tonight’s event.“The Ergon Tundra was a little bit tight, but not too bad,” said Mitchell after his qualifying lap. “We picked up over three tenths from our fastest practice lap, it just wasn’t enough. This won’t be the first time we’ve had to come from behind. We did it last week. I know Doug (George, crew chief) will make all the right calls in the pits tonight and we’ll be battling in the top-10 before it’s all said and done.”
