Toyota Tundra 200 Final Practice Report

OVERVIEW

posted on August 08, 2008

Final practice for tomorrow’s Toyota Tundra 200 at Nashville Superspeedway with David Stremme in 19th-place, but don’t be fooled, the Ergon Tundra is ready to race. Stremme’s fast lap of 30.484 was in race trim, and the team never made a mock qualifying lap.
“I think we’ve got a solid top-10 truck,” said Stremme. “We didn’t spend any time working on our qualifying package because we were focusing on race mode. By the end of practice, it was just how I wanted it. I could arc it into the turns, and drive it off the corners a lot better than when we started today. I’m not worried about our place on the speed charts. I think it’s going to be a great day tomorrow.”
Watch the Ergon Racing team qualify tomorrow at 2:45 EST and race at 7:30. Coverage will be on SPEED TV.
