OVERVIEW

David Stremme wrapped up final practice for tonight’s O’Reilly 200 in 24th-place. The Ergon Tundra’s fastest lap around the high banked half-mile was 15.967 seconds (120.173 mph). A tight handling race truck kept Stremme from climbing the leader board. Johnny Benson’s lap of 15.585 seconds was the fastest lap of the afternoon’s practice session.“The Ergon Tundra is still a little tight,” said Stremme at the conclusion of practice. “We made some gains, and I think we're pretty good in race trim. We still need to make a few adjustments that will loosen the truck up for qualifying. Track position is so important at Bristol and we need to make sure we start close to the front. I just need to be able to hit the gas a tick quicker off the turns. If we can get the truck doing that, we’ll be set for the race.”
Qualifying for tonight’s race begins at 4:15 est. The green flag will drop at 8:00 with coverage on SPEED TV.
