Camping World 200 Final Practice Report
OVERVIEW

The No. 15 Ergon Racing team completed the final practice session for the Camping World 200 in 18th-place. His lap of 34.184 seconds (131.641 mph) around the 1.25-mile oval was the third-fastest among the rookie competitors. “I’m really happy with the Ergon truck,” said Mitchell. “At Gateway (International Raceway), you’ve got to be able to roll through the center of the turns and get back to the gas as quickly as possible. We spent some time making adjustments for that and it really helped us out. I’m getting back on the throttle pretty quick and make the straightaways as long as possible.
“The weather tomorrow will be warmer than it is now, so we’ve got to keep that in mind. We’ll have to build in some adjustability to the truck so that we can change with the temperature.
“We were really fast in race trim. Before everyone starting making their mock qualifying runs, we were in the top-five. When we made our mock run, we got boxed in by a few trucks and it ruined our lap. So we weren’t that fast on the charts, but we’ve got a fast truck for tomorrow. We’re off to a great start and I’m looking forward to the race.”
Qualifying kicks off tomorrow at 11:05 est with the green flag dropping at 2:30 to start the race. Coverage will be on SPEED TV.
