Camping World 200 Qualifying Report

OVERVIEW

posted on September 06, 2008

The Ergon Racing Tundra will line up on the inside of row eight for the Camping World 200 at Gateway International Raceway. Marc Mitchell’s lap of 34.382 seconds (130.882 mph) secured the No. 15 Tundra’s 15th-place starting spot in today’s race. Mitchell was the third fastest Raybestos Rookie of the qualifying session.

“We thought we’d be a little faster than that,” said Mitchell. “There were a few trucks that we were faster than in practice that out qualified us. The truck felt pretty good and I thought I turned a descent lap. It got a little bit loose off (Turn) 2, but it felt really good on the other end of the track. That’s OK, though. We’ve got a great truck for the race and I know we have what it takes to come through the field.”

The green flag drops at 2:30 to start the race. Coverage will be on SPEED TV.
