Qwik Liner 350 Qualifying Report

OVERVIEW

posted on September 20, 2008

The Ergon Racing Tundra will start tonight’s Qwik Liner 350 from the 23rd position. Andretti rounded the 1.5-mile speedway in 32.657 seconds, trailing pole sitter Ron Hornaday’s time of 31.685 by nearly one second.

“The Ergon Tundra was great through (Turns) 1 & 2, but was super loose through 3 & 4,” said Andretti after his qualifying lap. “We carried a ton of momentum down the backstretch, but the truck started to snap around. The back-end kept wiggling up the track and I had to get off the gas completely. We would have had a stout lap if it wasn’t for that. The track should tighten up tonight when the sun sets and the temperature cools. Hopefully that means that our truck will be just right when the race gets going.”

The green flag starts the race tonight at 9:30 est. SPEED TV will cover the event.
