Chevy Silverado 350K Qualifying Report

OVERVIEW

posted on October 30, 2008

Ryan Lawler’s inaugural race with Bill Ballew Motorsports is off to good start. The Texas native will start 14th in tomorrow’s Chevy Silverado 350K at his home track. Lawler piloted the Ergon Tundra around the 1.5 mile track in 30.547 seconds, .350 seconds off pole sitter Rick Crawford’s time.

“The truck felt great,” said Lawler after his qualifying lap. “It stuck to the bottom of the track and I never had to lift. We went out third and I think the track got cooler towards the end of the night. That might have hurt our chances of starting higher on the board. I’m still excited about the race. The Ergon Tundra is running well in race trim and I know we can work our way to the front. I grew up about 15 minutes from the track, so I’m going to do all I can to give the home crowd a show.”

The green flag drops for tomorrow's race at 9:00est. SPEED TV is covering the race.
