OVERVIEW

Today’s practice for the Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway marked the final installment of the 2008 season. Buesher’s fastest circuit around the 1.5 mile oval was 33.281 seconds, placing him 24th on the speed charts. Buescher was fighting a tight condition throughout the session, which kept him .993 seconds off the leader’s pace. The Ergon Racing team never made a mock qualifying run, which also kept Bruesher from climbing to the top of the charts.“The Ergon Tundra was really tight throughout practice,” said Buescher. “We made a lot of changes to the truck, and it kept getting better and better. We made changes to the sway bar, track bar, wedge – if it could be switched, we did it. Doug (George, crew chief) made some calls on getting our truck to handle better. We’re definitely heading in the right direction and I know we’re a few minor tweaks away from having a strong setup for tomorrow.”
Qualifying begins tomorrow at 5:00 est. The green flag for the Ford 200 drops at 8:00. SPEED TV is covering the event.
