Rain Washes Out Qualifying at California Speedway
Mitchell Slated to Start 31st

OVERVIEW

posted on February 22, 2008

FONTANA, Cali. (February 22, 2008) – Unfortunately, rain showers have washed away any chance Marc Mitchell had of a descent starting position in tomorrow’s San Bernardino 200. The damp weather at the California Speedway forced NASCAR to abandon qualifying for the Craftsman Truck Series. The field will be set according to last season’s owners point standings, which will place the Ergon Silverado 31st on the grid.

“It’s too bad,” said Mitchell. “We have a great race truck. We were tenth fastest in the practice session yesterday and I feel pretty confident we would have qualified just as well. We’ll have a long ways to make up in tomorrow’s race, but I know that the Ergon Chevy has what it takes to make it up front.”

The race begins tomorrow at 3:00 EST. FOX will broadcast the event.
