O'Reilly 250 at Kansas Speedway Qualifying Report

OVERVIEW

posted on April 26, 2008

Marc Mitchell rounded the one-and-a-half mile Kansas Speedway in 31.915 seconds, scoring his first top-5 starting position of the season. His speed of 169.199 mph put the Ergon Toyota fifth on the grid for the O'Reilly 250.

"It was awesome," said Mitchell after his qualifying lap. "We were really tight off of (turn) 2 yesterday, but Doug (Goerge, crew chief) and I made some adjustments after final practice. It looks like we made the right changes. The car felt great. It was a little bit snug, but overall, really good. I can't wait to go racing tonight."

The green flag drops tonight at 6:00 pm EST. Coverage can be seen on SPEED TV.
