Ohio 250 Practice Report

Mansfield, OH (May 23, 2008) – Marc Mitchell’s lap of 16.820 seconds around the half-mile track at Mansfield Motorsports Park put him in 19th-place on the practice speed charts. Another practice session will begin at 1:30 EST and conclude at 2:30.
“I’m really happy with the Ergon truck,” said Mitchell. “We started out a little bit tight, but Doug (George, crew chief) and I spent the practice session working on the balance and now it’s just about right. We’re 19th on the charts, but that’s a little misleading. Several teams made their qualifying runs, and we’re waiting till the next session before we do that. We were great on old tires, though. We were one of the fastest trucks on long runs. If we get a good starting position, it should be a good night.”

Qualifying begins tonight at 6:30. The race starts at 1:00 tomorrow afternoon. Coverage will be on SPEED TV.
