Mitchell Qualifies 8th for Ohio 250

OVERVIEW

posted on May 23, 2008

Mansfield, OH (May 23, 2008) – The Ergon Toyota Tundra will line up in 8th-place for the start of tomorrow’s Ohio 250 at Mansfield Motorsports Park. Marc Mitchell’s lap of 16.520 seconds around the half-mile track was the fourth-fastest among the rookie contenders.
“It was a great effort by the Ergon team,” said Mitchell after his qualifying lap. “My truck felt neutral all the way through the turns. That’s what you want. It wasn’t too tight or too loose. It was just right. The guys made all the right adjustments after practice and dialed it in.
“We had a great practice session in race trim, so I’m really excited about the race tomorrow. We’re starting in the top-10 and I know we have a truck that can race with the leaders. Hopefully we’ll avoid the bad luck and be there at the end.”
Coverage can be seen on SPEED TV. The green flag drops tomorrow at 1:00 EST.
