Texas Motor Speedway Practice Report

Marc Mitchell sits 23rd on the charts follwing the first practice session for tomorrow's Sam's Twon 400. The gusty conditions at Texas Motor Speedway reaked havoc on the handling of the Ergon Toyota.

"It's hard to tell how the truck was handling," said Mitchell. "It was so windy during practice that we couldn't run a consistent lap. The wind kept changing directions which made it difficult to figure out how the truck was handling. It's hard to give the team feedback on the truck when I'm not sure what's making it drive like it does.

"We were 23rd fastest. That's not too bad. We'll make a few changes and work on making it better during the next session."

Qualifying for the Sam's Town 400 begins tonight at 7:00. The race begins tomorrow at 9:00pm EST. SPEED TV will cover the event.
