Mitchell Ninth Fastest in Cool City Customs 200 Practice

Marc Mitchell completed the first practice session at Michigan International Speedway in ninth-place. Mitchell pedaled the Ergon Tundra around the two-mile oval in 41.526 seconds (173.385 mph), giving him the third-fastest lap among the rookies.
"The Ergon Toyota is really good today," said Mitchell after practice. "We were a little tight going into Turn 1 and Turn 3, and it was a tick snug in traffic. Overall, it drives really well and only needs a few small adjustments to be up with the leaders."
Final practice for the Cool City Customs 200 begins at 1:30pm EST. Qualifying begins tomorrow at 1:35 and the green flag drops at 3:00. Race coverage can be seen on SPEED TV. Live updates will be posted on Marc Mitchell's blog.
