Cool City Customs 200 Final Practice Report

OVERVIEW

posted on June 13, 2008

Final practice for tomorrow's Cool City Customs 200 wrapped up with Marc Mitchell in 25th-place. The Ergon team focused on long runs during the session and never made a mock qualifying lap.

Despite his position on the charts, Mitchell is confident in the handling of his Ergon Toyota and thinks it has what it takes to be up front tomorrow.

"We spent our practice session working on race runs. We turned a lot of laps and figured out tire wear and fuel mileage for tomorrow," said Mitchell. "The truck was tight exiting the turns in the beginning and we made a few adjustments to loosen it up. When practice wrapped up, we were pretty sporty. We never had a chance to switch to our qualifying setup and turn a lap. Several other teams did, so that's why we're not at the top of the charts. I feel really good about our truck, though. I think we'll be up front for most of the day."
